Warren L. “Buddy” Coulter, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Buddy was born on August 11, 1952, in Nashville, Tennessee to Warren L. and Rosiebelle (Krebs) Coulter.

Buddy loved all sports, particularly baseball and basketball. Buddy was a two sport athlete at Maplewood High School, where he graduated in 1970. Upon graduation, Buddy attended Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, FL to continue his baseball career. Buddy later was drafted by the Boston Red Socks.

After his playing days, he continued his love of sports by coaching and teaching kids the game of baseball and basketball. Buddy excelled as a Coach through the years and helped produce many college and professional athletes. He also became a professional scout for the Kansas City Royals.

However, his number one love was his granddaughter, Audrey. When Audrey was old enough to grab a basketball, her Pawpaw began training her to be the best basketball player she could be. Buddy rarely missed his granddaughter’s basketball games; he was a proud Grandpa! Buddy loved his family, had a great sense of humor, and will be missed by all.

Buddy is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters Barbara Coulter, and Rosalene Coulter.

He is survived by his son Chris (Mary Ann) Coulter; his beloved granddaughter Audrey Coulter; sisters Rita (Jim) Cameron and Donna (Mike) Evilcizer; his three best friends from childhood Gary (Donna) Kemp and Kenneth Lowery, along with a large extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 4 pm-7 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
