Walter Daniel “Danny” Cranford, a longtime resident of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2024, after a long battle of Alzheimer’s.

Danny was born May 29, 1951 in Davidson County, Tennessee, to Herbert Cranford, Sr and Shirley Parrish Cranford.

He was a member of the 1969 Maplewood High School graduating class and later in life worked at Wynn & Graff and the Metro Police Department as a security officer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings (Herbert Jr, Wayne, Linda, Gayle, Tommy, Sandra, and Glenn).

Danny is survived by his wife Doris Birthright Cranford; children Amy Lowery and Tim Cranford, stepson Doug Graves; grandchildren Alex and Coleton Lowery, Brayden Cranford, Niki, Olivia and Sara Graves; and family-by-choice too numerous to name.

Danny loved God, his family, hunting, fishing and ALABAMA FOOTBALL.

Danny’s visitation service was held on Sunday, October 20th from 2-6 pm, and his memorial service on Monday, October 21st at 12 pm with visitation beforehand starting at 11:00 am. Both visitation and memorial service will be conducted at Hendersonville Memorial Gardens (353. E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075).
