OBITUARY: Walter “Buck” Buckingham

Mr. Walter L. Karnes Buckingham, Jr., better known as Buck, age 76, of Lafayette, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Sumner Station in Gallatin. Funeral services for Walter “Buck” Buckingham are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 2 PM from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Doyle Farris officiating. Interment will follow in The Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at the funeral home on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 12 PM until 8 PM, and on Tuesday, from 8 AM until service time at 2 PM.

Family suggests donations be made to St. Jude or The Hartsville Pike Church of Christ.

Buck was preceded in death by His Wife, Janie Carol Kirby Buckingham; Parents, Walter L. Karnes, Sr., and Louise Agnes Birchett Buckingham.
