Vicki Lynn Haney, age 70, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Frances Haney and Lebert Dewey Haney and her dear brother, Dewey Hal Haney.
Vicki graduated from Glencliff High School in Nashville, Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She taught 10 years in the Sumner County School System and 25 years in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools until her retirement in 2014. After retiring, Vicki found great pleasure using her time and talents through painting, book making and crafting. She also found great enjoyment in reading, volunteering in the Granbery library and spending time with her Book Club, Sunday School and Mahjongg friends.
Vicki was a long-time member of the Woodbine Methodist Church and an active member of the Ladies Inspiration Class at Crievewood Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
