Timothy “Tim” Wayne Russell, of Indianapolis passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital. He was 66 years old. Tim was born in Indianapolis to the late Orvell D. and Ora M. (Jones) Russell on May 27, 1959.
Tim worked for Alcoa for many years until the company moved their operations. He then worked as a delivery driver and warehouse personnel for Graybar electrical supply company.
Tim was a big sports fan and faithful follower of the Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed working on flowers around his property and watching auto races, especially the Indy 500 with friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, James Douglas Russell, Frank Edward Russell, and Richard Dean Russell.
Tim is survived by his brother, Orvell Dale Russel; sister, Charlotte Roxanne (Russell) Whittimore; nephews, James D. Russell II, Rodney F. Russell, Benjamin K. Whittimore; nieces, Angela M. Russell II, Jennifer M. Russell, Shelby M. Russell, and Amanda Nelson.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday, April 12 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory – Franklin Township Chapel, and again on Thursday, April 16 from 11:00-2:00 PM at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home located in Portland, Tennessee. Tim will be laid to rest with his family at Maple Hill Cemetery, Portland, Tennessee.
