Thomas H. Wilburn, 91, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Tom was born on October 13, 1932, in Gallatin, Tennessee to Joe Bryant Wilburn and Florence (Settle) Wilburn.
Tom loved all sports; he played baseball and softball in the Men’s Leagues as well as playing golf. He could be found cheering on his great-nieces in their sports activities. When not enjoying sports, Tom owned and operated Greene Furniture and Appliance stores in the Nashville area.
Tom was an even tempered, intelligent man who was well spoken. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a 31-year member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church. He was an honest, kind, humble, gentle, Godly man. He loved his family, especially the grandkids.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Florence, son Ted Wilburn, and his brothers James, Hubert, Junior, and Wesley.
He is survived by the love of his life Lois, daughter Vickie Wilburn, granddaughters Lauren (Matt) Smith and Lindsay George; his great-grandchildren Henry Smith, Wyatt Smith, Eli Smith, Brendan Wolburg, and Charlotte Wolburg. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 12 pm-2 pm at Hendersonville 1st Baptist Church. A funeral service will begin at 2 pm at the church with burial to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with military honors. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
