Terry Wayne Harris, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026.

Born on September 12, 1935, in Ashland City, Tennessee, Terry was the son of the late Roy and Francis Harris. He was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Carl Douglas, and his brother, Jimmy Harris.

Terry is survived by his devoted wife, Evelyn Harris of Goodlettsville, sons, Darrell Harris of Goodlettsville and Tim (Lori) Harris of Hendersonville, grandsons, Wade (Heather) Harris and Kevin Harris, granddaughter, Gracie Harris, cherished great-grandsons, Kemper, Dean, and Gabe Harris, sister-in-law, Bonnie Harris, brother-in-law, Tommy (Janie) Warren and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Terry dedicated 30 years of his career to the United Methodist Publishing House, where he worked as an offset printer. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and willingness to help others. In his free time, he loved being outdoors, working on lawnmowers, watching NASCAR races, and listening and dancing to country music. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures and treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Harris, Wade Harris, Kemper Harris, Dean Harris, Gabe Harris, Darren Douglas, and Dan Denton.

Honorary pallbearers Jeff and Greg Sweeney, Rick and Joey Fisher, Greg and David Osborne, Don Weaver AKA THE WESTCHESTER BOYS and longtime friend-co-worker Ronnie Goforth.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at NHC Sumner, as well as the compassionate caregivers with Highpoint Hospice for the exceptional love, kindness, and care they provided to Terry.

Terry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of hard work, quiet strength, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A visitation will be held Monday July 6, 2026, from 10:00am until the celebration of Life 12:00pm all held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. A graveside service will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville.
