Terry Leo Vollmer, age 78, of Castalian Springs, Tennessee. passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Terry was born in St. Mary’s, PA., and was the son of the late Leo and Agnes Frank Vollmer.
Terry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years Carol Anne Vollmer and his parents Leo and Agnes Vollmer.
Terry is survived by his daughters Linda M. Woods (Steve J.) and Lisa Marie Vaske; grandchildren Travis James Vaske, Brooke Marie Vaske, Brayden Edward Vaske, and Tyler S. Woods; great-grandchild Aria Rae Woods; sister Evelyn McCallister.
Commander Terry L. Vollmer was a firefighter for the Pompano Beach Fire Department in Pompano Beach, FL, and was known as “Captain Vollmer.” Terry was a member of the Local 1549 IAFF. Terry was a 4th Degree Knight at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church.
After retiring from being a firefighter, Terry owned his own licensed paint contractor company in Hendersonville, TN. Terry loved the game of golf, fishing, going on cruises, and taking trips with his sweetheart Carol Anne. Terry was a great husband and father and was known as Papa Terry by his grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Terry’s life will be held at 12 pm on the afternoon of Monday, March 14, 2022 at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville, TN. A family visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the funeral mass. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
