Steven Patrick Mitchell, age 58 of Portland, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Highpoint Health-Sumner in Gallatin.
Steven was born on December 16, 1965, in North Carolina. His parents, Charles William “Billy” and Melba Earle Holland Mitchell preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of Springfield High School and worked as a Heating and Air Technician. He loved being outdoors enjoying such things as fishing, mowing his yard, and going camping and sitting around the campfire. He also shared a love with his dog, Charlie and his cat, Scout.
Surviving him are his fiancée, Linda Rager of Portland; son, Mason Mitchell of Springfield; daughter, Stephanie Dawn Mitchell of Paris, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Tonya Mitchell of Springfield; grandchildren, Parker, Hayden, and Janie; stepchildren, Michelle Takacs of Georgia, Steven Scott of Madison, Dale Harris of Springfield; and Andy Lowe of Clarksville; 14 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Forrest Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Hubert Cunningham officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service. https://www.robertsoncountyfuneralhome.com
