Shirley Ann Parrish Creasy, age 83, of Westmoreland, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2023 at her residence.
Born at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Columbia, Tn. on September 1, 1939, her formative years were spent in Culleoka, Tn.
She was active in 4-H, band, and was a four-year basketball player. She served briefly in the U.S. Air Force and was a graduate of the Gale Flight Attendants’ School in Minnesota. From 1969-1994, she served as a teller and customer service representative at Westmoreland’s Farmers and Merchants Bank. She was a wonderful wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hushel Lea and Adeline Vetor Parrish, Sr., her husband John Silas Creasy, Jr., grandson Caleb Marcus Troutt, and brothers Hushel Lea (Sue) Parrish, Jr. and Tommy Parrish and in-laws John Silas Creasy, Sr. and Delia Burnley Creasy.
She is survived by her son John Franklin (Tyla) Creasy and daughters DeAnna (Blake) Henderson and Paula Jane (Mark) Troutt all of Westmoreland, Tn. and grandchildren Katelyn Ren Creasy, Chicago, IL and McKayla Ann Troutt and John Heath Creasy, both of Westmoreland, Tn. She is also survived by sister-n-laws Jean Parrish, Lawrenceburg, Tn. and Constance Parrish, Cornersville, Tn.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 22 from 2-8 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, July 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodard Funeral Home. https://www.rwoodardfuneralhome.com
