Sharon Lynne Bodkin, age 81, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Sharon was born on September 15, 1940 in Gary, Indiana to Linden Edward Holdeman and Thelma (Livingston) Holdeman.
Sharon loved taking cruises, two of her favorites being the Panama Canal and Western Caribbean. She also loved gardening, going to the casino and playing card games, especially Phase 10.
Sharon was a kind soul who loved her family. Everyone who met her loved her. She was selfless, kind, and hilarious.
She and David just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, brother Lin Holdeman and sister Janet Mangos.
She is survived by her loving husband David Bodkin; her children Carrie (Billy) Weatherspoon, Cathy (Rod) Derr, and Jeff (Billie) Bodkin; grandchildren Amanda (Sam) Richardson and Chris (Ali) Weatherspoon; great-grandchildren Bowie and Wilder; and sister Patricia (Robert) Benson.
In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 4 pm-8 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Michael Davis on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 2 pm at the funeral home with visitation beginning at 1 pm.
