Sharon-Fox-Parker

Mrs. Sharon Fox Parker passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, into the arms of her savior, she was 81 years old.

Daughter of Kenneth and Rennie Fox who preceded her in death as well as her sister, Juanelle Holcomb.

A graduate of Stratford High School in 1969, she met her husband of fifty-two years at church and married him on May 16, 1970. They had two sons, Kenneth Lee Parker and Shannon Ray Parker. She returned to college in 1987 and got an associate in industrial engineering in 1989 while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

She worked at Anchor Wire in Goodlettsville for twelve years and loved her job. The more complex the better she liked the process.

A faithful member of Hendersonville Free Will Baptist Church until her health declined, and an avid singer at church was one of her favorite pastimes. While traveling to Dunn, NC to visit Ray’s family, a hymnal was carried to keep the correct words to the songs.

One of her most treasured things was being a grandmother to Austin Parker. He followed his father and uncle in having a speech problem, leading to him calling her “Mammie”. While not being P.C. that title was a banner that she wore proudly.

Survived by her husband, C. Ray Parker; sons, Kenneth (Mony), Shannon (Lorie); adopted son, Robert Waldrop; grandsons, Austin Parker, Michael Thigpen; nephew, Rick Holcomb of Hawaii; nieces, Justin Parker, and Julia Autry (Dale) of N.C>

Her heart was full of love, but her words could cut deeply. She will be greatly missed.

Contributions can be made to Free Will Baptist Family Ministries in Greensville, Tennessee.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. Burial will follow the service on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
