Russell Lee Yoder, age 74 of Portland, TN, formerly of Sarasota, FL, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Bethany Center for Rehab and Healing.
He was born October 16, 1947, in Hartville, OH to George and Betty Heckman Yoder.
He was self-employed and worked as a home inspector. Russell was an avid golfer and Florida Seminoles fan. He also enjoyed fishing, boating and watching rodeo. He was a member of Abundant Life Church in Sarasota, FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Linda Yoder, Portland, TN; sons, Preston (Lisa) Yoder, Bell Buckle, TN and Tim (Sarah) Newsome, Smyrna, TN; daughter, Leigh (Ryan) Booker, Portland, TN; sister, Barbara Elizabeth (Ken) Snyder, Massillon, OH; 6 grandchildren, Madison, Ryleigh, Desirae, Evander, Charlotte and Luke. His first great-grandchild is on the way.
There is a memorial service being planned in FL for Mr. Yoder. This obituary will be updated with the service information as soon as the arrangements are finalized.
