Ruby Carter Bevelheimer age 82, of Portland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning February 16, 2025. Ruby was born on August 7, 1942 in Portland, Tennessee to the late Mitchell Carter and Pauline Dorris Huntsman.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Joe Carter and Charles Lee Carter.
She is survived by her loving son, Charlie Wade, II.; granddaughter, Amanda Brooke Ferrell; seven great grandchildren, Alexis Wade, Joshua Ferrell, Jr., Brooklyn Wade, Isabella Thompson, Derek Thompson, Bentley Key and Waylon Doak; brother, Allen Carter.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 21st at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Pastor Ricky Morris officiating. Interment will follow the service at Maple Hill Cemetery with David Carter, Darrell Carter, Mark Hayten, Danny Peacock, Ronnie King and Tracy Dunning serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home on Friday, February 21st from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
