Roy Daniel Petty, age 84, of Portland, passed away on September 23rd, 2024 at Highpoint Health in Gallatin.
Mr. Petty was born in Centerville, TN on October 24th, 1939 to the late Jessie Boyd Petty & the late Mildred Mae Potter-Petty.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Petty was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Rose Petty; daughter, Teresa Estes; granddaughter, Jessica Moore; siblings, Willie Mae Brown, Lorraine Petty, Robert Petty, & Betty Hann.
Mr. Petty is survived by his son, Billy Richards (DeDe) of Portland; daughter, Charlene Poole (Kerry) of Portland; grandchildren, Kyla Hunter (Boyer) of Portland, Jarret Richards (Kayla) of Greenbrier, Dustin Richards (Sarah) of Portland, Jill DeGeorge (Coleman) of Nashville, Jenna Calvert (Will) of Alvaton, KY., Josh Moore, Tyler Fultz and Daniel Estes; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Tidwell, Johnny Samerjan, & Steve Petty.
Funeral service for Mr. Petty will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Miller officiating.
Visitation for Mr. Petty will be on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home. https://www.wilkinsonwiseman.com
Interment will be in Old Brush Cemetery with Military Honors.
Serving as pallbearers will be Coleman DeGeorge, Will Calvert, Boyer Hunter, Jarret Richards, Josh Moore, & Dustin Richards. Kerry Poole will serve as a honorary pallbearer.
