Roy “Chuck” Lloyd Cecil, III, age, 65 passed away on August 1, 2021, in Gallatin, TN.
Mr. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lloyd Cecil, Jr., and Dorothy Shumate Cecil; mother-in-law, Inease Nichols Jones, and father-in-law, Raymond Carl Jones.
Survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janice Jones Cecil; sons, Charlie Cecil (Crystal), Brandon Cecil; daughter, Jennifer Peyton (Josh); son, Sgt. 1st Class, Raymond Matthew Cecil (Rachael); grandchildren, Amy Lynn Peyton, Ava Laine Peyton, Joshua Brooks Peyton, Jr., Waylon Matthew Cecil, Jaden Anthony Cecil, Emery Grace Cecil, Elijah Scott Frame; brothers, William “Eddie” Ford, Gary Cecil; uncles, H.D. “Pete” Nichols, Ralph Nichols, Odell Nichols, and his beloved four-legged companion Windsor.
Mr. Cecil was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, loyal friend, loving husband, father, and grandfather. Chuck was heavily involved with the following churches throughout his life: Park Avenue Baptist Church, Scottsboro First Baptist Church, Charlotte Road Baptist Church, and Bellevue Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Frejosky and Bro. Jack Stone officiating. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers include Charlie Cecil, Brandon Cecil, Sgt. 1st Class, Raymond Matthew Cecil, Josh Peyton, Master Sgt. Paul DeForge, Jr., Jerry Sharpe, and Jeff Gorin.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. & on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
