Rowena Gwinn, age 68, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 29, 2024.
She was born in Gallatin, on August 29, 1956, to her parents Perry and Margarett Trisdale. She graduated from Gallatin Highschool in the class of 1974 and attended Vol State Community College. Rowena was married to Frank on April 4, 1982. She worked as a teacher’s assistant for 20 years, at Gene Brown Elementary School, and Walton Ferry Elementary School, in Hendersonville. She was also a member of Madison Church of Christ for many years.
In her leisure time, Rowena enjoyed gardening flowers and growing butterflies. She also loved spending time with her granddaughters, as they adored each other.
Rowena Gail (Trisdale) Gwinn is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Frank Gwinn; daughter, Laura Michelle (Gwinn) Militana (David); son, Joshua Michael Gwinn (Nyoung); granddaughters, Emma Maria Militana, Eva Michelle Militana; brothers, Steve Allen Trisdale; Phillip Gary Trisdale; and sister, Debbie Trisdale.
She was preceded in death by her father, Perry Van Trisdale Jr.; mother, Margarett Louise (Durham) Trisdale; and brother, Jeffrey Trisdale.
Visitation with the Gwinn family will be held at Crestview Funeral Home, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 3:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M., and again on Thursday, December 5, from 9:00 A.M., until time of the funeral service at 10:00 A.M. Immediately following the funeral service, Mrs. Rowena Gwinn will be entombed in Crestview Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
