Robert E. Bartow, 58, Hendersonville, TN, formerly of Waupun, left us all too soon on November 10, 2024, following a fierce battle with cancer.
Rob was born on September 28, 1966, to Arthur and Shirley Bartow in Waupun. After attending Waupun Schools, Rob served his country in the United States Army Infantry for 23 years, ending his career as a Sergeant First Class. He was deployed to the Gulf War with the 101st Airborne Division, and later served in Afghanistan with the 10th Special Forces Group. He worked at the U.S. Postal Service after retiring from his military career.
Rob loved spending time with his sons, family and friends. He especially enjoyed working on cars and was a great cook who liked to share the grilled or smoked results from his hunting and fishing adventures, or his latest loaf of bread. He enjoyed donning a costume to fully partake in Renaissance Fairs with his sons, nieces and friends.
Rob is survived by his sons Joshua and Ian (Hendersonville, TN); siblings Arthur (Sherry) Bartow, Tim (Brenda) Bartow, Waupun; John (Brenda) Bartow, Winneconne; Kathy (Roger) Schultz, Fitchburg; sister-in-law Julie Bartow, Fond du Lac, and Aunt Mary Hardwick, Pueblo, CO. Preceding him in death were his son, Zachary; parents Arthur and Shirley Bartow; brother Mark Bartow; grandparents and too many brothers and sisters in arms.
He will be greatly missed by his sons, siblings, ‘other brother’ Bill, and his loving nieces, nephews and many friends. Honoring Rob’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
