Richard Oliver Lamberth, age 82 of Cottontown passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at his home.

He was born September 1, 1941 in White House, TN to Aubrey Eugene & Hazel Wilkinson Lamberth.

He worked as a farmer, raising all kinds of crops including tobacco, wheat, hay and straw. He also raised beef cattle. Mr. Lamberth was an avid local racing fan and loved watching the races at Highland Rim Speedway. His favorite driver was Bruce Vaughn. He ate breakfast every morning at Johnson’s Crossroads and he also enjoyed going to auctions and to Dairy Queen with “the old teenagers”, Randy Zelisman, Karla Loos, Donnie and Diane Asher and Sue, Hellman and Jimmy Clinard.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glenda Faye Lamberth; sister, Wilkie Jean Sheppard; brothers, James Lamberth and Robert Lamberth.

He is survived by his son, Ricky Lamberth; granddaughter, Allison Rose Lamberth; man he loved like a son, Randy Zelisman, Greenbrier, TN

Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, July 29, 2024 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Ray Biggs officiating. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Franklin, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Sunday, July 28, 2024 4-8 PM and Monday, July 29, 2024 9-11 AM at the funeral home.

Richard was honored to have Tabitha Axeton and Annabella to take care of him and all family and friends that came to see him.
