Patsy “Pat” Ann Rutherford, age 69 of Gallatin, passed away unexpectedly July 17, 2021.
Pat was born on December 9, 1951 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late Marcus and Alberta Smallwood Young.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Lee “Scott” Rutherford; sister, Kathleen Young; brothers, Berry “Tooty” Young, Elbert “Cricket” Young, Gary Young, and Albert “Ed” Young. She is survived by her son, Jay (Amanda) Tucker of Bethpage; siblings, Nancy Young Bain of Smithville, Sharon “Katie” Young Of Lebanon, Robbie Young of Lebanon, Linda Mitchell of Lebanon, Ronnie Young of Lebanon, Donnie ( Michelle) Young of Lebanon, and Jack ( Carolyn) Young of Lebanon, Grandsons: Tobin and Tyson Tucker of Bethpage Sister in Laws: Dean Young of Lebanon and Carolyn Young of Lebanon.
Pat loved people and especially animals; she adored her beloved cat, Caddy. Everyone that met Pat automatically knew she had a sweet soul and fell in love with her graciousness. She spent many years as a caregiver to those who needed assistance and she worked hard to make their lives comfortable. So it goes without saying, that the family extends a SPECIAL THANK YOU to the people that made Pat’s life enjoyable and helped her as she fought with COPD. THANK YOU to Stephanie Urell with Right Care Family Practice, Gloria Turner as caregiver and Special caregiver Earlean Atkins as well as all the other wonderful nurses and physicians that helped Pat.
A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held 1:30 P.M., Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Impact Fellowship in Gallatin. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00-1:30 P.M.
