Norma Smith, age 81 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
A Service celebrating her life will be Friday, November 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Point Church, 1200 Hartsville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066, with Dr. Mark Grubb and Pastor George Austin officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 19th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Smith was born November 11, 1940 in Waxahachie, TX to the late Royal Austin Fowler and Ruby Jewel Ledbetter Fowler.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lemuel Herron; grandson, Christopher Herron; and brothers, Wesley Roy Fowler, Chester Fowler, Lester Fowler, Robert Wayne Fowler, Harold Fowler, and Darrell Fowler.
She is survived by husband of 53 years, John C. Smith; daughters, Kim Starnes (Kenny) of Gallatin, Donna Gregory (Joey) of Gallatin, and Tonya Hollins (Phil) of Gallatin; sons, Wesley Herron (Tammy) of Gallatin, Leslie Herron (Teresa) of Gallatin, Robert Herron of Gallatin, and Chad Smith of Gallatin; step-daughter, Tracy Graves (Kenneth) of Gallatin; brother, Austin Wayne “Corky” Fowler (Linda) of Texas; sisters, Almeta Roberts of Texas, Sue Rogers (Doyle) of Texas, and Frankie Peavey of Texas; sisters-in-law, Margaret Taylor Brooks of Gallatin, Glenda Smith Hall of Gallatin, Peggy Nash of Cookeville, and Maddie Wright of Murfreesboro; 20 grandchildren Melissa Edwards (Ricky), Kelsey Pyles (Brandon), Courey York (Autumn), Nicholas Herron, Jeremy Starnes (Tina), Kelly Koch (Chad), Sarah Spiller (Devin), Nathan Gregory, Justin Gregory (Brenda), Kinsley Smith (Charlie), Kristen Gregory, Karla Allen (Andrew), Ross Hollins (Kourtney), Erica Twidle (Eric), Oliva Tunstill, Austin Herron, Kyndal Herron, Colton Hedgecoth, Will Harrison, and Sophie Smith; and 27 great grandchildren, Sawyer Starnes, Sydney Nolen (Jacob), Brynn Spillers, Aislynn Spillers, Lorelai Spillers, Kamryn Spillers, Devin Blanton, Dillon Blanton, Dustin Blanton, Silas Smith, Aubrie Allen, Ashton Allen, Anni Allen, Xander Hollins, Baylee Hollins, Livi Hollins, Braylin Tunstill, Della Rose Twidle, Reed Twidle, Asher Wellman, Zavier Herron, Brittany Edwards, Ronnie Edwards, Mia Johnson , Knox Pyles, Teagan York , Payden York.
Norma enjoyed reading, singing, sewing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
