Nellie Marie Leggett passed away July 15, 2025 at age 77.
The Funeral Service conducted by Brother Bobby Wilson will be held Friday July 18, 2025 at 2 p.m. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers: Tim Morgan, Michael Leggett, Josh Mink, Jacob Mink, Mason Leggett and Colton Leggett.
Nellie was born in Stanley, Virginia to Hilda Weaver and John Brubaker. She worked at Howard Elementary in the cafeteria for 25 years.
Nellie is survived by her children Tim (Sheila) Morgan of Gallatin, Michael (Sindy) Leggett of Cottontown and Kellie (Josh) Mink of Hartsville, brothers James Brubaker of Richmond, VA and Donnie (Missy) Brubaker of Penn Laird, VA, sisters Ada (Richard) Strickler of Elkton, VA, Liz (Larry) Hunsucker of Richmond, VA, Bonnie Hitt of Culpeper, VA and Betty Paul of Riceville, TN, and grandchildren Ashley (Daniel) Hopkins, Jacob Mink, Tyler (Kokona) Morgan, Ruth (Bryce) Carman, Taylor Morgan, Mason Leggett and Colton Leggett.
She is preceded in death by her husband Giles Leggett, siblings Judy Dotson, Cecil Brubaker, Jesse Brubaker, Geraldine Dalton, George Brubaker and Mary Fox, and her parents Hilda and John Brubaker.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks for donations to be made to the Sarah Cannon Fund in her honor.
