Nancy Sue Calobrace Myers, age 77, passed away on August 17, 2024 in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
She was born on February 17, 1947 in Marion, Indiana to the late Samuel and Crystal Calobrace.
Nancy is also preceded in death by the love of her life, Bill Myers; brothers, Michael Calobrace and Nick Calobrace; and son-in-law, Greg Edmonds.
She is survived by daughters, Sue Ann “Sammy” Edmonds and Jennifer Hoffman (Randy); grandchildren, Brittani Roberts, Elizabeth Edmonds, Emma Hoffman, Calo Hoffman, and Colin Hoffman; and great-grandchildren, Lena, Ava, Priscilla, Hattie, and Odin.
Nancy was a woman of artistic flair and creativity, which she brought into every aspect of her life. Among her proudest accomplishments was crocheting over 800 teddy bears alongside members of the First Presbyterian Church group. Crocheting gave her solace after the passing of Bill and brought joy to hundreds of children. Nancy also devoted her time to Christmas 4 Kids, ensuring children could experience the magic of the holiday season.
In her youth, she was the honored queen of Job’s Daughters. Nancy was very active in the Rotary Club, having been a member since 2012. She had received the Paul Harris fellow recipient award and most recently the Lifetime Distinguished Service Award for her recognition of outstanding dedication and commitment to the community and club.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service held immediately following visitation at Hendersonville Funeral Home. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
