N. Gail Estes, age 75 of Gallatin, passed away June 7, 2025. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Casper Dixon and Louise Polk Green.

Gail loved her family and would do anything for them. She loved being “Gigi” to her grandchildren. She was a faithful and loving wife to Eddie. Gail had a fun side and liked to be silly sometimes. She loved to cook for the family, much as her mother did before her. She and Eddie enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching the hummingbirds, finches, cardinals, squirrels, and the occasional duck or fox. Her yard is full of flowers – iris, hydrangea, peonies, roses, and more. She kept a beautiful home that always welcomed family and friends.
She loved to travel, and she and Eddie had visited many places over their 46 years together. Her loss is deeply felt by her entire family. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” Matthew 5:4.
Gail worked for Sumner County Schools for over 30 years. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent in Gail’s honor to: Live Love Nashville 1111 Shorside Drive Hendersonville, TN 37075 or by visiting www.livelovenashville.org. Please mark your donations as “School Supplies in honor of Gail Estes” and the money will be used to buy school supplies for students in Sumner County for the 2025-26 school year.
A private graveside service will be held at Crestview Memory Gardens. The family will be having a memorial gathering for family and friends at 4:30pm on Thursday June 12, at Birdwell’s Chapel Church of Christ, 3170 Highway 25, Cottontown.
