It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Myralene Cooper, age 81, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, on January 26, 2026.
Born in 1944 in Trimble, Missouri, she married Galen Cooper in 1962. He was her beloved husband for 40 years. They moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee, in 1974. They had three sons: Todd (Alicia) of Winchester, Kentucky, Joel (Rebecca) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Jock (Stephanie) of Newbury Park, California. She was a proud grandmother to Jared Cooper and Cameron Cooper, Joshua Cooper and Savannah Lanpher, and Blake O’Neill and Autumn O’Neill. She was also very excited to visit with her three great grandsons: Cooper, Sonny and Houston. Galen and Cameron predeceased Myra.
Myra was mostly a homemaker and also enjoyed crafts during her life and in recent years she knitted and was a quilt maker. Most important to her, though, was her dedication to her ministry as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, faithfully serving and sharing her beliefs throughout her entire life, including in a full-time role for some years. Those that attended meetings with her always remarked on her intelligent comments during Bible studies.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 294 Old Shackle Island Road in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Myralene will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and many friends, which includes many that were considered family.
