Montgomery Hutchison “Buddy” Hurt Jr., age 83, of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
Buddy was born in Richmond, VA on October 30, 1937. He grew up in Hendersonville and graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1955.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kay Durham Hurt; son, John (Sherrie) Hurt; grandson, John Porter Hurt; and daughter, Ann Hurt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Montgomery and Felix Worsham Hurt; and sister, Lila Lee Hurt.
Military graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Historic Beech Cemetery with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating. Pallbearers will be John Hurt, John Porter Hurt, Neill Acuff, Derrick McCloud, Maddux McCloud, Hutch Hutchison, and Walter Sloan.
