In Loving Memory of Maverick “Boogie” Charles Ray Gentry

With hearts shattered beyond words, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Maverick “Boogie” Charles Ray Gentry.

There are some people who spend a lifetime teaching others what love looks like. Boogie did it in just three short years.

He never met a stranger. Whether you were family, a friend, or someone he’d just met, you were likely to hear his favorite words: “I loves you more.” To Boogie, everyone was a friend.

He was fearless, hilarious, full of wonder, and always smiling. Every day was an adventure. He loved Paw Patrol, Spider-Man, Blaze, airplanes, cars, and trucks. If it had wheels, wings, or an engine, it had his full attention. If Daddy was working on something, Boogie was right beside him. He was Daddy’s shadow and best friend, but he would always be Mama’s baby.

Boogie adored his older siblings, Brycen, Dawcen, and Clara, and his baby brother, Cash. He celebrated everyone around him and never had a jealous heart. If another child was crying, Boogie would run over, wrap them in comfort, and softly say, “It’s otay.” Whether he had one spoonful of ice cream or the whole container, he found joy just the same.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Mandy and Cody Gentry; his siblings, Brycen, Dawcen, Clara, and Cash; grandparents, extended family, and countless friends whose lives were forever brighter because they knew him. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Baxter.

Although his time with us was far too short, Boogie filled our lives with more love than many do in a lifetime. His laughter, his kindness, and his beautiful heart will stay with us forever.

Our sweet Boogie, thank you for showing us how to love without hesitation, laugh without fear, and find magic in the little things. You were Daddy’s best friend, Mama’s baby, and a light that will never fade.

“I loves you more” baby.
