Mary Maxine Bloodworth of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, she was 85 years old.
Ms. Bloodworth was born June 7, 1936 in Sumner County to the late Thomas Frank Johnson and Virginia Ruth Sadler Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, James Leonard Bloodworth; grandson, Buddy D. Russell; brother, Bobby Johnson; son-in-law, Terry D. Russell; and daughter-in-law, Carol Davis.
She is survived by sons, Stephen Wade Bloodworth of Hendersonville and James Timothy Bloodworth of Centerville; daughters, Gayle Amons (Pinky) of Cottontown, Linda Ann Russell of Portland, and Susan Woodall (Kenny) of Gallatin; brothers, Miller Johnson of Cottontown, James Johnson of White House, Danny Rippy (Mamie) of Lafayette, Billy Rippy (Brenda) of White House, Don Rippy (Dana) of White House, and Carl Rippy (Kathy) of Springfield; sister, Janie Campbell (Mike) of Hendersonville; 9 grandchildren, Maxie Bloodworth, Amanda Gayle Bloodworth, Cynthia Dres (Costas), Dixie Amons, Mary Ann Wiseman (Joel), David Wayne Russell (April), Stacey Marie Butler (Brad), Jessica Barrett (Mickey Dorris), and Chaz Bloodworth; and 12 great-grandchildren, Cody D. Russell, Justin Matthew Russell, Dalston Wiseman, Deanna Wiseman, Elizabeth Butler, Samantha Butler, Macey Dorris, Kennlee Dorris, Carol Christmas, Devon Chastain, Faith Dres, and Billy Dres.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor Todd Bush officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 5th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Chaz Bloodworth, Cody Russell, Justin Russell, David Russell, Mickey Dorris, and Steven Husley serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
