Mrs. Mary Flatt, age 85 of Portland, TN passed away on Thursday, February 5th at Highpoint Health Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. Mary was born on February 14, 1940 in Adairville, Kentucky to the late Paul Pitt and Irmogene Pitt.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Flatt, Sr.; brothers, David Pitt, Danny Pitt and Dennis Pitt; sister, Paula Carver; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Flatt.
Mary is survived by her sons, Jackie Flatt, Jr. and Rodney Flatt; grandchildren, April (David) Bryant, Travis (Robin) Flatt and Tiffany Flatt; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Carolyn French.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 10th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Leslie Flatt officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery in Springfield, Tennessee with Travis Flatt, David Bryant, Brandon Bryant, Gregory Kirby, Troy Flatt and Dustin Bermudez serving as pallbearers. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, February 10th from 10:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations towards the funeral expense.
