Mrs. Mary E. Blankenship Hammer, age 85, of Lafayette, and former owner of Alexander Funeral Home, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Knollwood Manor.
Graveside services for Mary Hammer are scheduled to be conducted on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 1 PM, from The Macon County Memorial Gardens, with Elder Dean Sircy officiating. Interment will follow.
Mary is preceded in death by parents, Carlos Benjamin Blankenship and Opal Ethola Dotson Blankenship; Sister, Frances Carter; Brothers, Chester Blankenship and Orville Blankenship; Sisters in law, Lula “Tudor” Ferguson and Shirley Blankenship.
