Martha Jane Whitson, Age 91, of Portland, passed away on March 20th, 2025 at The Waters in Gallatin. Mrs. Whitson was born on January 26th, 1934 in Goodlettsville, TN to the late James Porter Williams & the late Lou Ella Williams. Mrs. Whitson enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her flower gardens. She was a member of Buck Lodge Church of Christ in Portland.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitson was preceded in death by her husband, George Whitson; son, David Whitson; brother, James Williams.
Mrs. Whitson is survived by her daughters, Marcia Scruggs of Westmoreland & Teresa Forbis of Portland; daughter-in-law, Holly Whitson of Bowling Green, KY; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Raymond Williams of Portland; sister, Lee Pearson of Flora, MS.
Funeral service for Mrs. Whitson will be on at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 24th, 2025 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Parks officiating.
Visitation for Mrs. Whitson will be on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm & on Monday, March 24th, 2025 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Gallatin, TN.
