Majorie Jean George, age 95, of Cottontown, passed away on November 7th, 2025 at her residence. Mrs. George was born in Bethpage, TN on September 20th, 1930 to the late Dewey Lanier Pryor & the late Mable Lavetta Hunter-Pryor.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. George was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Herman George; brothers, Otis Hunter Pryor and Denver Lanier Pryor; sisters, Edna Amanda Pryor Ramsey, Martha Luzinka Pryor Munday, Mabel Pryor Clodfelter.
Mrs. George is survived by her daughter, Melba Lee George Wix (Paul); sisters, Annis Rebecca Pryor Barham & Gayla Dianne Pryor Templeton (Ed); 18 nieces and nephews.
Funeral for Mrs. George will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Doyle Farris officiating.
Visitation for Mrs. George will be on Monday, November 10th, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm & on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.
Interment will be in George Cemetery (Halltown Road) in Cottontown, TN.
Randy Pryor, Mark Sanders, Jeff Munday, Luke Munday, Chris Templeton, & Mike Moore will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Mrs. George to World Bible School or Church of Christ Disaster Relief Funds.
