Marilyn Gregory, age 97 of Gallatin, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
Mrs. Gregory was born September 11, 1926 in Sumner County to the late Rufus Withers and Elizabeth Gorham Withers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Henry Gregory; grandson Dustin “Dusty” Gregory; siblings, Ruth Withers, James “Jake” Withers, Margaret Jones, Allene Wade, Robert Withers, Earl Withers, Florencie Fuqua, Betty Fuqua, Nellie Bruce, Irene Moss, and Samuel Withers.
She is survived by children, Elizabeth “Ann” Braswell of Gallatin, Wanda Cothron (Leon) of Gallatin, Thomas “Tommy” Gregory (Kay) of Gallatin, and Sandra Salter (Joe) of Gallatin; siblings, Virginia “Jenny” Fuqua of Cottontown, Florence Gregory of Gallatin, William “Dee” Withers of Hendersonville, Barbara Hobdy of Portland, and Benjamin “Benny” Withers of Castalian Springs; grandchildren, Michael Braswell, Hank Cothron (Jo), Clinton “Clint” Cothron (Andrea), Ashley Salter, Candice “Leann” Daily (Mickey), and Brandon Salter (Raeann); great-grandchildren, Aaron Cothron (Devan), Tyler Cothron, Cydney Cothron, Avery Cothron, Lydia Braswell, Tyler Gregory, and Draven Gregory; and great-great grandchild, Madeline Cothron.
Mrs. Gregory retired from G.E. after many years of service.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Pastor Bill Roark officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 12th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 13th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Hank Cothron, Clint Cothron, Michael Braswell, Brandon Salter, Jeff Withers, and James Perry serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Tyler Cothron and Aaron Cothron.
