Marie Cross, age 63, of Bethpage, Tennessee, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Marie was born in Woodbury, New Jersey, on September 18, 1961. While she lived in New Jersey, she was an EMT for the volunteer ambulance of Bellmawr. After she relocated to Tennessee, Marie worked as a caregiver in a nursing home. Marie was proud of her American Indian heritage as a descendant of the Lenape tribe. She enjoyed to garden and to knit. Her specialty was knitting baby blankets for all the expecting mothers she knew. Marie loved the Philadelphia Eagles, and jamming out to 70’s and 80’s music.
Marie was best known for her charming free-spirit and dynamite, “go-getter” attitude.
She will be remembered for her loving nature and the laughs she shared; she will be dearly missed.
Marie Elaine Cross is survived by the love of her life, Robert Bowman; mother, Marie E. (Kitter) Cross of Carney’s Point, NJ; and sister, YVonnie Mott of Carney’s Point, NJ. Although she never had children of her own, she is also survived by Lisa Trivett of Bethpage, TN, that she claimed as her own; as well as her children, Makayla, Dennis, and Mackenzie.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Walter Cross.
