Ms. Margie Ann Slayton Hatton, age 65, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away on June 30, 2022. She was born on October 19, 1956, in Hartsville, TN to the late R. W. “Billy” and Joyce Dean Thompson Slayton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Daniel Travis Gregory, Katrina Ann Gregory, and Clinton Travis Slayton; her brothers, Benny Ray Slayton and Tony Lee Slayton; her step-brother, James Miller; her great-granddaughter, Ka’Miya Paige Fitts; her grandparents, Bill & Lily Belle Slayton and Franklin & Dellie Thompson.
She is survived by her beloved dog, Shadow; her son, Corey Dennis Slayton; her brothers, Billy R (Bobbie) Slayton, and Billy Joe (Grace) Slayton; her step-sisters, Brenda Cook and Wilma Garrison; her grandchildren, Cassie Gregory, Charles Green, Aubrie Sircy, Sawyer Slayton, Elliott Turner, and Kaden Cash; her great-grandchildren, Kai’leigh Fitts, and Mattie Marie Green; her special little friend, Timothy Spratlin; and her special friends, Ginger Hatch and Billie Jo Crook.
Margie was a loving and wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
The funeral services for Ms. Hatton will be conducted on Sunday, July 3rd at 1 pm from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Bushs Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday, July 2nd from 12 PM – 8 PM, and again on Sunday, July 3rd from 10 AM till service time at 1 PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
