Lynette “Lyn” Eastlick, age 65 of Gallatin, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024.
Mrs. Eastlick was born December 3, 1958 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Cornelius VanBruggen; granddaughter, Ellie Locke; brother, Robert VanBruggen; father-in-law, Anton Eastlick; mother-in-law, Diane Eastlick; uncle, Jerry Eastlick; sister-in-law, Tawney Jones; and several other loved family and friends.
She is survived by husband, Dale Eastlick of Gallatin; son, Anton Eastlick of Gallatin; daughters, Lori Hinesley (Whitney) of Lebanon and Jamie Eastlick of Kenai, AK; mother, Nola Mae Spykeman VanBruggen; brother, James VanBruggen (lacy) of Soldotna, AK; sisters, Debbie Wilson (Sam) of Lyons, KS and Sandra Baughman (Steve) of Dorr, MI; and grandchildren, Axel Locke, Garrett Hinesley, Callan Hinesley, and Hayden Hinesley. Lyn grew up in Oxnard, California.
After marrying the love of her life, Dale, they moved to Kenai, Alaska, where they raised their three kids. Lyn loved being a grandma and spoiling her grandkids as much as possible.
Lyn and Dale loved to travel around the U.S., driving to their destinations as often as possible so they could adventure along the way. Some of their favorite places to visit are National Parks. They spent many years doing these adventures on a Harley and loved motorcycle trips with friends.
Lyn put others before herself – from her husband and children to her co-workers, community, family, and friends. She had an infectious laugh that anyone who knew her would recognize. After retiring from the Post Office, Lyn began volunteering at the Clifton Christian Church Food Bank. She loved serving the community alongside her “food bank family”.
While Lyn grew up in a Christian home, her faith really became her own later in life. She began a morning routine of “Coffee with Jesus” where she would spend time in the Word. She made the decision to get baptized just a few years ago. This faith is what gave her both hope and peace throughout her cancer journey.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date, with times and locations to be announced.
