Lt Col. Roger A. Sindle, USAF Retired of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, he was 75 years old.

Roger was born in Gallatin, Tennessee on August 23, 1946 to the late Charles and Helen Sindle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Sindle.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Sindle; children, Nicki Sindle and Robbie Sindle (Nicole); grandchildren, Hudson and Olivia Sindle; brother, Ron Sindle (Karen); nephew, Mike Sindle (Connie); his Wednesday Morning and Saturday Morning Men’s Bible Study Groups; and his FBC Connect Group.

Roger was born and raised in Gallatin, graduating from Gallatin High School in 1964. Following high school, he attended the United States Air Force Academy where he both graduated from and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on June 5, 1968. After receiving his commission, he attended and graduated from pilot training and proudly served for 20 years in the Air Force; during the Vietnam Era, he served in Southeast Asia from 1970-1973 flying 36 combat missions.

Roger graduated from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1982 with a Doctorate in Jurisprudence. He sat for and passed the Bar Exam in Tennessee in 1982, Alabama in 1983, Georgia in 1985, and was licensed to practice in all three states. Roger actively practiced law for over 30 years following his retirement from the United States Air Force, primarily focusing on criminal defense.

He was a longtime active member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church Hendersonville and most importantly he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Hendersonville with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Roger will be laid to rest at a later date at the United States Air Force Academy Cemetery.
