Linda Ruth Shrum, age 74 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021.
Funeral Service will be Monday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Glenn Creasy officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, August 7th from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 8th from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m., and Monday, August 9th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Shrum was born July 4, 1947 in Doran, VA to the late James Hubert Bradley and Nina Ruth Renfro Bradley.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Dewey Lee Shrum; brother, Jay Glendle Bradley; and sisters, Barbara Jean Clifton and Geraldine Ramsey.
She is survived by sons, Randy Shrum (Wendy) of Castalian Springs, Ricky Shrum of Murfreesboro, and David Shrum (Donna) of Orlinda; sister, Clara Mae Church of Jonesborough; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Hartley (Ryan), Jaelyn Klotz, Jerika Shrum, Kayla Norman, Heather Blair (Bobby White), MaKayla Shrum, Sawyer Shrum, Jonathon Bassham (Seprina); and 9 great-grandchildren, Ethan Klotz, Waylon Shrum, Emma Dell Johnson, Joey Chapman, Izabell Lillian Jo Bassham, Ahyoka Bassham, Logan Creekmore, James Michael Creekmore, and Eli Hartley.
Mrs. Shrum attended Hartsville Church of God of Prophecy. She worked for Genesco and retired from R.R. Donnelley.
