Laverne Owens Centers, 83, of Gallatin, TN and formerly of Adolphus, KY passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of Rock Tenn and member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Carl Phillip Owens and Mildred Louise Atwood Owens and wife of the late Gerald Andrew “Jerry” Centers.
She is survived by 1 son: Richard Todd Centers, Scottsville, KY;
1 sister-in-law: Melbena Owens, Scottsville, KY;
2 granddaughters: Nena Smith (Chad) and Amber Johnson (Kenny);
8 great grandchildren: Baylee Hall (Tommy); Noah, Callen, Ayden and Wren Smith; Abby Centers, Harley Johnson and Audrey Centers.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother: Homer Owens and 1 sister: Anna Jean York.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Wilson officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:30 A.M. Monday at Goad Funeral Home.
