Kathy Marie Ditto-Henderson, age 70, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, in Gallatin TN, peacefully at her home.

Born June 25, 1954, in Memphis, TN. She was the daughter of David Murray Ditto, Sr. and Jean Marie Adair Ditto.

Survivors include her wife of nine years and partner of 34 years, Linda Ditto-Henderson Gallatin, Tennessee; sister, Deborah A Ditto Sherman of Columbia, Tn; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Murray Ditto, Jr., Paris, Tn.

Kathy was a Registered Nurse of over 40 years. She had numerous jobs. She served in the United States Air Force, Veterans Hospital Memphis, Tn. Home Health Administrator Knoxville, Tn, Quality Assurance Supervisor Housecall Home Healthcare, Louisville, Ky and Regional Manager of Nursing Services Housecall Home Healthcare, Louisville, Ky. She was the only Registered Nurse for Healthsouth Diagnostic Services for 7 years in Nashville, Tennessee. The last seven years of employment she was the Nurse for the Federal Building in Nashville, Tn. Kathy retired in 2018.

Kathy was passionate about her love for animals and leaves behind 8 feral cats and three dogs. She was an avid supporter and volunteered for Animal Rescue Corp in Gallatin, Tn. She also was a trapper for Community Cats of Sumner County TSNR. Her passion extended to love of music, all genres except rap. By far her greatest passion, next to her wife, family and furry friends was her love of water. She enjoyed many years living on Old Hickory Lake boating, swimming, skiing, and jet skiing. She received her Captains license in 2023 at the age of 69.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, July 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 13th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
