Judy Marie Foreman, age 66 of Portland, Tennessee, went to her Heavenly home late Friday night April 25, 2025 at TriStar Portland ER.
Judy was born on June 15, 1958 in Abingdon, Virginia to the late William Donald South and Ellen Geraldine Bott South. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by son, Lonnie Lee Foreman and brother, Carl Cecil South.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Carolyn Sue Foreman; brothers, Stanley (Charlotte) South, Jack (Ginger) South, Mike (Julie) South, Sammy South and Bobby (Ivy) South along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy enjoyed quilting and sewing. She made many quilts over the years and gave them to friends and family. She was very proud of them. She was proud of all her nieces and nephews. She always said since she couldn’t have any grandkids of her own, she would just soak up the love from ours. They all adored her.
She loved spending time with her loved ones at cookouts and holiday get togethers. Her favorite holiday was April Fool’s Day. She loved nothing more than pulling a successful prank on anyone she could on that day. She was very good at it.
She enjoyed family vacations in the mountains. Judy gave her life to God at a young age and was baptized. She talked about it often. She had a strong faith in God and never minded talking about it to anyone who wanted to hear it. She loved listening to gospel music.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We have the assurance of knowing she is resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior now and we can see her again someday, healthy and pain free.
