Judy Frances Petty Obit

Judy Petty, age 86, of Hendersonville, entered into rest on Thursday, May 22, 2025. She was born on March 8, 1939, in Carthage, Tennessee.

Judy worked at the same dental office for 30 years. Her strong work ethic elevated her position from an office assistant to the office manager. Judy was known for her red lipstick and sophisticated style; she embodied gracefulness and instilled the value of poise and manners to her family. She dedicated her life to her family and was happiest spending time with them. Judy and her husband, Jerry, had many special moments traveling together.

She also enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom she was “Memaw Judy.” In her leisure time, Judy loved to read and listen to old gospel music; especially “The King,” Elvis Presley. Her memory will be cherished, and she will be missed dearly.

Judy Frances (Perrigo) Petty is survived by her children, Brian Gibbs, Keri Johnston (Trent), Lori Lee (Chris); grandchildren, Jesse Gibbs, Jake Gibbs, Jasmyn Gibbs, Drew Lee, Megan Lee, Riley Wilson (Jackson), Rhett Lee; great-grandchildren, Kaiden Gibbs, Haley Gibbs, Sawyer Wilson, Gabriel Gibbs, Ira Wilson; sister, Barbara Hibdon (Donald); nephew, Ricky Hibdon (Kristina); niece, Mary Cantrell (Eric); and great-niece, Zoe Cantrell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Petty; father, Thomas Ray Perrigo; and mother, Etta Frances Perrigo.

Visitation will be held at Crestview Funeral Home, on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and again on Tuesday, May 27, from 9:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. Burial in Crestview Memory Gardens will immediately follow.
