Celebrating the Life of Joyce Jean Hatcher

December 7th, 1928 – February 3rd, 2025

Joyce Jean Hatcher, age 96, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, February 3rd, 2025. She was born on December 7th, 1928, in Old Hickory, Tennessee.

Joyce was preceded in death by her spouses, Jack Scoggins, Ed Anderson, and Earl Hatcher; her parents, William Casper Oldham and Maggie Lee Oldham; and her siblings, Geneva Brownfield, Mai Hampton, and Lucian Oldham.

She is survived by her daughters, Jan Lassiter and Jackie (Clyde) Cutrer; her grandchildren-Jason (Lynn) Lassiter, Christie (Jared) Reynolds, Stephanie (Hayden) Cook, and Jessica (Adam) Williams; her great-grandchildren-Jack, Kate, Reese, Will, Beau, John, Olivia, Maddie, Blake, Ava, and Hutton; and her beloved niece, Melissa Woosley, who held a special place in her heart.

Joyce graduated from Dupont High School and attended business school. She worked for Neuhoff Packing Company and Baltz Brothers Packing Company in the payroll and accounting office.

Family was her greatest joy, and Christmas was her favorite time of year. She loved decorating her home, wrapping her gifts, and preparing dinner on Christmas Day for her family.

Her life was guided by her faith and love of the Lord, and she read the Bible every day. She attended McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church in Madison, Tennessee. She had great pride in her flowers, loved to travel, and enjoyed playing games with her family and friends.

We will forever cherish the warm memories and the love she showered upon us. Rest in peace, dear Joyce. You will be deeply missed and remembered.
