Joyce Ann Fleming Mingo, age 83 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2022 surrounded by her family.
Joyce was born on November 11, 1938 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Dorris Woodrow “Porter” Fleming and the late Gladys Cecil Kimbro Fleming.
She is survived by her sons, Lee Mingo (Angela) and Kyle Mingo (Misty); former husband, Michael Mingo; grandchildren, Jordan Mingo, Hayden Marlar (Hannah), Hannah Marlar, and Hope Marlar; siblings, Pat Zeltner, Ronnie Fleming (Barbara) and Donna Swafford (Jay); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joyce was a multiple time cancer survivor, she loved to travel with her family and sisters, enjoyed watching her grandson play baseball, worked in retail for many years around Hendersonville, and most of all was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother to her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
A Celebration of Joyce’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, March 23rd from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
