John Jones, age 72, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, departed from this world on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in the peace and comfort of his own home, with his loving family by his side.

He was born on February 28, 1952, in Nashville, Tennessee, to his parents, Marvin and Mamie Jones.

John attended Gallatin High School and was in the graduating class of 1970. Later he earned his associate degree from Vol State. John was married to Sheila on December 31, 1976.

He worked at GE/Bosch for 26 years until the company closed their doors; then John worked at Sabre Defense Industries, in Nashville, Tennessee. Outside of work, John valued his time with family the most; which was reflected in his photography and home videos. He also appreciated the serenity of nature, which he often photographed. John was known to give his best effort in all he did and didn’t believe in cutting corners. John was a member of Saundersville United Methodist Church, in Hendersonville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother-in-law. Family and friends will cherish their memories together.

John Marvin Jones is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sheila Jones; daughter, Kristy Watts (Jesse); grandson, John Roland Watts; granddaughter, Emily Grace Watts; and many extended family members he loved dearly.

He was predeceased by his father, Marvin Jones; and his mother, Mamie (Ballard) Jones.

Funeral services in honor of John Jones will be conducted at Crestview Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Visitation with the Jones family will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Jeff Phillips of Saundersville United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial in Crestview Memory Gardens will immediately follow. Those serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Watts, John Roland Watts, along and extended family members. https://www.crestviewfh.com
