John David Blair, better known as JD, passed away on September 1, 2024 at the age of 54.
John David is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Greta Howes Blair, his daughter Caroline Blair Crenshaw (Lucas), mother Kay Gillespie, father Robert Blair, his sister Julie Blair, sister-in-laws Rachel Shelton, Rhea White and mother-in-law Brenda Howes as well as many step-siblings, niece, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
John David graduated from Gallatin High School in 1988 and attended MTSU. He was co-owner of Parthenon Plumbing in Nashville, TN where he has been employed for the last 12 years. He loved his family and friends beyond measure. He loved talking about college football with his daughter, Caroline. John David’s happy place was spending time with Greta on their boat on the river and their many trips to the beach.
John David always left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His motto was always ‘Live for Today” and that is exactly how he lived his life.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 7th at First Baptist Church, 205 East Main Street, Gallatin, TN 37066 with Rev. John Penefield officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 7th from 10:00 am until time of the service at 1 pm.
