John Conyne Muntz age 85 of Gallatin, Tennessee and formerly Hugo, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at NHC Place Sumner. John was born on February 5, 1940 in Ada, Oklahoma to the late Dr. E. R. Muntz and Mrs. Oliva Muntz.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Muntz; step-mother, Jane Muntz; son, Wade Muntz; son-in-law, Gregory Mueggenborg; step-brother, Steve Omohundro.
He is survived by his children, Weston (Georgine) Muntz, Tisha Muntz (daughter-in-law), Shannon (Doug) Holt; grandchildren, Olivia Muntz, William Muntz, Peyton Muntz, Allison Muntz, Lauren Muntz, John Mueggenborg and Samantha Mueggenborg; step-grandchildren, Jordan Holt and Olivia Holt; brother, Robert Muntz; sister, Beverly (Mike) Ford; step-brother, Bruce (Diane) Omohundro; step-sister, Ruth Ann Cross.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Service in Hugo, Oklahoma at a later date.
