Joe M. Caldwell, age 84 of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
Mr. Caldwell was born July 18, 1938 in Gallatin to the late James Caldwell and Rachel Dobbs Caldwell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Ruth Johnson Caldwell; brother, Bobby Caldwell; and sisters, Rebecca Stewart, Donna Sue Ray, and Freda Frazor.
He is survived by daughter, Deborah Neal (William Watson) of Castalian Springs; brother, Jimmy Caldwell (Faye) of Gallatin; grandchildren, Amy Hickson (Jeff) and Brian Williams (Tisha); and great-grandchildren, Cade Hickson, Carson Williams, Rheadan Williams, and Saylor Williams.
Mr. Caldwell owned Caldwell Excavating.
Funeral Service will be Monday, March 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin. Visitation will be Sunday, March 12th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Monday, March 13th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
