Mrs. Jo Ann Graves, 85, a native of the Gallatin, Tennessee community was born on Sunday, November 12th, 1939, in Sumner County, Tennessee, to the late Everett C. and Wilma Pearson Borders, and was called Home on Sunday, January 19th, 2025.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Ray Graves; daughter, Sonia Graves Boyd; and brother, Cordell Borders.
She is survived by daughter, Vanessa Graves (Robert) Pcholinski of Gallatin; sister, Loretta Sue Brown of Gallatin; grandchildren, Brent (Lindi) Boyd, Dylan Boyd, Keisha (Alvin) Adriano, and Shane (Ashley) Downs; great-grandchildren, Paxton Adriano, Olivia Snow Adriano, Ledger Adriano, Nash Downs, and Demi Boyd.
Mrs. Graves served as a teller in the banking business for 35 years before becoming a caregiver to her late husband and daughter for 20+ years. She loved flowers, specifically red roses. Her kind and gentle soul will be missed beyond measure.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Pastor Lionel Borders, will be held in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 at 02:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, January 22nd from 04:00 p.m. – 06:00 p.m.
