Jimmy Darrell Templeton, age 61 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021.
Funeral Service will be Monday, October 4th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. John Penfield officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, October 3rd from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m., with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, October 4th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Aaron Pickard, Mickey Summers, B. J. Templeton, Jay Fitts, Brad Badacour, and Sonny Weatherford serving as pallbearers. Gary Pickard, Jim Parsons, and Kenny Lee will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethpage Masonic Lodge #521, c/o Bill Bowen, 1017 Peck Place, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
Mr. Templeton was born May 3, 1960 in Sumner County to the late Bernice Templeton and Thursie Phillips Templeton.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Debbie Honeycutt Templeton; brothers, Tony Templeton and Ricky Templeton; and sister, Janette Templeton.
He is survived by wife of 8 years, Elizabeth Braly Templeton of Gallatin; sons, Darrell Templeton (Jessica) of Gallatin and Avery Fowler (Mary Jane) of Gallatin; daughter, Tasha Newman (Houston) of Clarksville; brother, Roger Templeton of Gallatin; sister, Penny Templeton (Leland Casteel) of Gallatin; and 4 grandchildren, Elora Templeton, Noble Templeton, Farren Templeton, and Brown Fowler.
Jimmy was owner/operator of Templeton Backhoe for 42 years. In addition to his business, he retired from the Sumner County Sheriff’s Department after many years of service.
